Last Updated: March 1, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
At My Pets Hub, we are committed to protecting your privacy and the sensitive data you trust us with regarding your pets. For any personal data we collect as part of your journey with us, this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains why we collect the data, what we do with the data, and your rights and choices.
When you use our mobile application (“App”), access our services, or interact with us, this Policy will apply to you. We will notify you when there are significant or material updates to this Policy.
2. Who is collecting your data
We are My Pets Hub (“we”, “our”, “us”) and are the data controller. We decide what personal data is collected from you and how this data will be used. Our Services may rely on third-party organisations which will have their own privacy policies.
3. How we collect and use your personal data
Identity & Profile Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user ID. You may also provide a profile photo. We use this to create your account, identify you, and facilitate features like pet sharing.
Pet Information
To provide our core services, we collect comprehensive data about your pets, including name, species, breed, birthdate, gender, weight, target weight, and photos. This allows us to track your pet's health and growth.
Medical & Health Data
We collect sensitive health data regarding your pets, including:
- Medical records (vaccines, allergies, conditions, procedures, medications, checkups).
- Weight logs and trends.
- Litter logs (elimination frequency, consistency, color).
- Vet notes and health reports.
We use this data to provide health insights, track medical history, and generate reports you can share with veterinarians.
Activity Information
We collect logs of your pet's activities (walks, play, training), including duration, intensity, and skills learned. This helps us track activity goals and provide insights into your pet's wellbeing.
Usage & Technical Information
When you use the App, we collect your Expo push token to send you notifications (e.g., reminders for tasks, share invitations). We also track app entry counts locally on your device to prompt for reviews.
We use PostHog to monitor app stability and track errors. This includes capturing crash reports, uncaught exceptions, and error logs to help us identify and fix bugs. PostHog assigns an anonymous device identifier for session observability. We do not track your IP address for analytics purposes, nor do we use third-party analytics SDKs like Google Analytics or Mixpanel.
Subscription Information
When you subscribe to My Pets Hub subscription, our payment processor (RevenueCat) collects your purchase history and subscription status linked to your anonymous user ID. We do not store or process your credit card details directly.
4. Our lawful bases for the use of your personal data
We rely on the following lawful bases to process your data:
- Performance of a Contract: To provide the services you requested (e.g., storing your pet's medical records, processing subscriptions).
- Legitimate Interest: To improve our services, fix technical issues, and ensure security.
- Consent: For sending push notifications and processing sensitive health data where required.
5. Information sharing you control
Pet Sharing: You can choose to share your pet's profile with other users (e.g., family members). When you do this, you share access to the pet's full history, including medical records and activity logs.
Vet Sharing: You can generate a secure, time-limited link to share your pet's health report with a veterinarian. Anyone with this link can view the report and add notes.
6. Sharing personal data with Service Providers
We work with third-party service providers to help us deliver our services. We share only the data necessary for them to perform their functions:
- Supabase (EU): For secure database hosting and authentication.
- AWS S3 (UK/EU): For storing pet photos and medical documents.
- RevenueCat (US): For managing subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- Resend (US): For sending transactional emails (e.g., share invitations).
- Expo (US): For delivering push notifications to your device.
- PostHog (EU): For error tracking and session observability, helping us maintain app stability.
7. How we Protect Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Your account is protected by Supabase Authentication. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Sensitive table data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure only authorised users can access your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete specific records (like a weight log), they are permanently removed. If you wish to delete your entire account, please contact us.
9. Your Data Protection Rights (UK & EEA)

When we transfer data to these providers, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions to ensure your data remains protected.
